Crook County Public Health Nurse II Position

Position will provide clinical nursing services to health department clients.  The clinical services include immunizations, family planning, HIV Counseling and Testing, infection check exams, communicable disease follow-up, basic lab tests and blood draws, and other clinical services as needed. The position is a fulltime clinical position in a variety of programs. Bachelor’s degree in nursing with experience in public/community health preferred, but not required.  The applicant must hold a current Oregon Registered Nurse Licensure, and a current Oregon driver’s license. Summary:
This full-time position will coordinate, manage, and implement the public health emergency preparedness program for Crook County Health Department.  The position will coordinate emergency preparedness exercises, prepare incident action plans, and after action reports.  The position will collaborate with community and regional partners and may back Communicable Disease response as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Emergency Planning, Emergency Services, or related field preferred.  The applicant must hold a current Oregon driver’s license with good driving history. The applicant must have strong communication skills and a commitment to working closely with community partners.

Position Overview:  
The Office Assistant provides administrative support to the County Administration and Community Development Departments. Position may provide support on an as-needed basis to County Counsel’s office. In this dual reporting role the primary function of the position is to provide general office support including copying, filing and preparing materials for public hearings and greet visitors or permit applicants in person or over the phone.  The position will be responsible for determining the general nature of requests, recording basic information and directing members of the public to the appropriate department or individual for assistance. 

Job Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year experience of customer service or experience in an office environment.
 
Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of clerical and office procedures and methods.
Working knowledge of computer applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Working knowledge of general office machines and functions including, multi-line phone systems, scanner and copy  machines.
Ability to effectively communicate and work as part of a team with co-workers.
Ability to effectively communicate with the public in order to direct and assist as required.
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time during the course of the workday.

Library Circulation Services Assistant
$13.61-$13.88 per hour DOE
Part-time position (25) hours per week

Position Overview:

Crook County Library seeks a part-time Circulation Services Assistant. The primary duties of the employee in this position are to provide circulation services to library patrons, such as registration, cash handling, material check in, and assistance with public computers and technology. The employee in this position is given the authority to make judgments regarding some fines and procedures, within the guidelines of written policies and procedures. The employee in this position refers unusual situations and reference questions to other employees or a supervisor, but may occasionally handle difficult and challenging interactions with the public without a supervisor present.

Job Qualifications: 

High school diploma or equivalent GED, plus two years of experience in library circulation, customer service, cashiering, or office management. Bilingual Spanish/English a plus. Candidates should attach a resume and cover letter to application.

Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge and ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms; ability to use general office software.
Ability and skill to learn and effectively use library software programs and databases and to instruct both other employees and the public in their use.
Ability and skill to troubleshoot basic technology problems and malfunctions.
Ability and skill to correctly organize and sort library materials on book trucks or shelves in accordance with library shelving rules.
Ability and skill to efficiently and effectively write reports and emails.
